The CISF in collaboration with Central Social Welfare Board (CSWB) has taken a new initiative in providing Family Counselling services for its members and their families. The services can be availed on voluntary basis. The first Family Counselling Centre has started functioning at CISF Unit DMRC, Shastri Park Complex, Delhi w. e. f. 12.09.2019. More Family Counselling Centres at other places will also be opened shortly.

DG’s Merit Award in Academics & Sports: Wards of serving and personnel killed in action are eligible to get DG’s Merit Award in Academics (10+2) and Sports. a) Academics: 125 best performer wards are awarded with this scholarship every year. Rs. 27,000/- for girls and Rs. 25,000/- for boys for 95% and above marks. Rs.23,000/- for girls and Rs. 20,000/- for boys for marks between 90% to 95%. b) Sports: 10 best performer wards are awarded with this scholarship every year. Rs.27,000/- for girls and Rs. 25,000/- for boys.
CISF takes pride in being the CAPF with the maximum number of women personnel. Many initiatives have been taken to provide a good working atmosphere. Children’s care & safety is of paramount concern to parents. Crèches are an important support for working parents. It enables the parents, especially mothers to work without stress & with confidence that their children are being well taken care off.
